This isn’t an April Fool’s joke… This is for real. Did you know that a blog with 15,000 visits a month produces 8 pounds of carbon emissions each year? Think of how many blogs are out there… that adds up to a LOT of carbon emissions! If you want to be a little friendlier to the environment, there’s something you can do to offset your carbon footprint.
A German company named kaufDA has partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation in Plumas National Forest in Northern California to plant trees in an effort to offset the carbon footprint of bloggers like you and me.

Because I am displaying this badge in my sidebar and making this post, kaufDA is planting a tree in my blog’s name. It’s a simple little thing, but a lot of simple little things can really add up. If you’d like your blog to go carbon neutral, check out the instructions on kaufDA’s site.
