Dear TJ,
You’re only 4 years old. And yet, you’re taking things apart to figure out how they work. Daddy has an old portable radio/CD player that you were examining today. You were looking at it in the living room while we finished up dinner in the dining room. You came out to see us, jumping up and down because you were so excited.
“I know why the radio doesn’t work, Daddy!”
“Why doesn’t the radio work, buddy?”
“Because it’s not plugged in!”That was a pretty brilliant deduction on your part, and you happened to be right. You were also quite disappointed that it couldn’t be plugged in because the cord is missing. So instead, you decided to take the buttons (rewind, fast forward, etc.) off and put them back on.
I’m glad you’re so curious, buddy, but if you ever break anything that’s still working, I will be very, very upset!
