Today is my 31st birthday. TJ’s “gift” to me was coming into my bedroom this morning at 6:40. Crying. For some reason, he’d convinced himself that he’d missed my birthday, and he was very upset. He then came into the room again – for some reason I can’t recall – at 7:20. He returned at 8:00 to get Daddy out of bed. (Mommy gets to stay in bed later. It’s good to work at home.) But I wasn’t exactly doing much sleeping. Sigh.
At least he told me “happy birthday” this year. He wouldn’t say it at all last year until after my birthday was over.
