What Makes You Happy?

by Christina on March 19, 2010

For the last day of Act Happy Week, I decided to ask the  Twitterverse a question:

What’s the one thing that can make you happy, even when you’re feeling crappy?

Twitter didn’t fail me. I didn’t expect it to. I got a variety of responses, which I was able to loosely put into several different categories.

Family

  • NannyTweeting My babies giving me a hug and kiss….. or one of their belly laughs.  Makes my day.
  • smallslice When my children laugh. That always makes me smile even when I’m not feeling so happy.
  • robinelton What makes me happy? Sound of kids laughing, clean sheets, when the dog actually does “downward dog” with tail wagging
  • TechyDad My kids. Hard to feel grumpy with the world when they act all cute & loving.
  • FroggyPrinceMom Answer: Knowing that no matter how I feel, I’ve still been able to make my husband and/or son feel good/better.
  • TheAngelForever Spending time with my family, especially if we are at Disney World ;)

Food & Drink

  • unxperiencedmom Used to be pizza. But now, it’s a favorite show being on at night. If it’s a bad day, just knowing the show is on, I smile.
  • multitaskingme sorry to be cliche but chocolate
  • CedarStore A cup of coffee on a cool Summer’s morning, gently swinging on a porch swing!

Alcohol

  • CheekySweetie an Icee. :-) especially if it’s a Coke Icee. Spiked with coconut rum.
  • natannod a good run, bike ride, good music, knitting or/and a bottle of wine!

Missed out yesterday? Leave me a comment to let me know what makes YOU happy.

Love this idea to check in with people on their ideas. Great use of Twitter for blogging. Thanks for the linky love.

May sound silly, but when I get a comment that something we wrote or tweeted from Pediatric Safety made a difference to someone…wow it feels like the best day ever.
